PAL Wait Time

Ditto for the keep calling. I was told the card was mailed about 2 1/2 weeks back and it arrived after 10 business days from Miramichi to Ottawa. They use some really slow version of CanadaPost. I had to jump in my car and chase them down today after I watched them deliver a shotgun to the wrong building and the site changed from out for delivery to Notice Left. Took me 4 blocks but I stopped them and they handed it over. The joy never stops.

Calling appears to be the viable path, but you may need to call multiple times to get what you want.
My license was issued on April 4. Called a few times and got put on priority list last week. Card was printed on May 22 and I got it in my mailbox today.

Application mailed: Mar 19, 2019
Application received: Mar 25, 2019
Credit card charged: Apr. 17, 2019
License issued: May 9, 2019 (This is day I saw on line but it maybe issued at a slightly earlier date)
Waiting ever since. Called in to find out on May 29 I was told card still pending printing so need to wait for another week or so to receive card by mail; when I asking if anything can be done to prioritize or speed up, reply was "not necessary".

I am in Ontario.

I gave a call this morning to the Quebec CFO. I’m on day 79. They are totally out of control and submerged by the amount of applications they received. I was very polite. I felt she and the whole office are really pissed by this situation.

I didnt know you could call the Quebec CFO.. haha whats their number ? Thanks for letting us know of the current situation!

I've had my licence for about two weeks now. 3 restricted, 2 non restricted in total all in my possession now. I called the Ontario cfo and they put a rush print on my second licence but it's now 10 business days as oppose to 5 due to high volume as the lady put it. They said that even though my licence ends in 0001 it's ok to bring my restricted to and from the range due to the police having the info that is required for the transfers. *Guess who's going to the range tonight!*

Called the Qc CFO and got my application approved over the phone now just gotta wait on the printers

The technicians that they use aren't very good at fixing printers. I don't know if it's only my card but the picture isn't sharp and the item text (Eyes / Yeux , etc.) is blurry and the numerator items (Blue , etc.) don't line up from one side of the card to the other. You'd figure a government issued card while not flawless would look a little cleaner to discourage counterfeiting.

How long is the wait for upgrade from pal to rpal? i hear there is no 28 days grace period. Has anyone done a upgrade recently?

I mailed in my rPAL upgrade application (and related documentation) on February 14, 2019. I recieved my rPAL in the mail April 30, 2019. I have been a licensed firearms owner since 1970.

They charged my CC on march 26th so lets say 2 months with the application waiting for approval before i called the CFO. If you've been waiting more than a month or two I'd call honestly

My CC was charged 1 month ago I called CFP last week they told me to wait... I might call Quebec CFO during the week! Finger crossed

According to the website my application was received 166 days ago. Made payment in January. Not a word from anyone. Everytime I call I get told it went for review last week.
