PAL Wait Time

Received: March 1st 2021
CC Charged: May 10

Hopefully this is a sign that the process is getting faster and not them just charging earlier.
 
AB Applicant (PAL)

Mailed: Jan 22/ 2021
Received: Jan 28/ 2021
CC charged, appears online: April 27
License issued and card mailed out: May 7

Waiting now for my card to arrive
 
BC Applicant (PAL)

Mailed: Jan 18, 2021
Received: Feb 4, 2021
CC charged, “initial processing” status: April 30
Waiting for card to be issued as of May 11th
 
BC PAL applicant

Application received Feb 5, 2021
Initial processing May 3
Processed and issued May 12
None of my references were contacted

Thanks everyone for the updates over these last few months and good luck to those still waiting.
 
I had to send in a new photo, nearing the start of april (12-14 or so) still haven't got a update on my PAL yet, called the lady and said its going to be a while. :( hope yours goes quicker

A little bit. Had to send a new ref with signature by mail. That delayed it by a few weeks.
Then getting a hold of my references.
Have they contacted you at all? If not, call them, ask if anything else you need to provide.

It was taking an average of 4 months from when RCMP receive the application to when it is posted online, usually the same day the Credit card is charged it is posted online. But as of recently it is about 3 months. My application was received January 25th and showed up online/cc charged April 26th and still waiting on approval.
 
Hoping that will be the same or less for everyone applying, this is my application timeline so far:

Applied in ON
Sent by certified mail 03/08
Received at NB on 03/12
CC charged 05/13
Actual status is “your application has completed initial processing, it is now in process”

Wow. CC charged in half the time it was before. The lower number of applications due to courses being shut down has made a big difference.
