PAL Wait Time

The lady at CFC said that 90 days is the timeline before she will even give me the SK CFO phone number. If and when I get to 90 days, I will be calling them EVER DAY. We pay for this service. If it was free, sure, take a year, even then it would be utter BS.... But not when they get to take my money. It is absolutely unreasonable for it to even take 90 days.

Ask in the general firearm discussion i'm sure someone has it, nothing to lose

My paperwork was held up for nearly 8 months on the local's desk. He said it was misplaced.
Then they said it was held up by an unpaid speeding ticket of which I had no knowledge. Anyways, paid the out of province ticket and in 2 weeks she was at my door.

Point being, it always takes what it takes.

Wait... an unpaid speeding ticket held up your application?

Why should that have anything to do with getting a firearms licence? last time I checked, speeding tickets were under Motor Vehicle Act and not Criminal.

As of today from the RCMP website...

Application Received on: 2014/07/08

Current Status: Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canadian Firearms Program Toll Free number. (1-800 731-4000)

That seems like pretty decent turn around time to me. This was for non-restricted only, as there are currently no restricted courses being offered...grrr. Hopefully in the fall they will begin the program again and I can get that out of the way.

I am in NB for reference.
