PAL Wait Time

1st post for me,
Mine was about 90 days
RPAL
Sent in beginning of Jan. Showed up on the website Jan 19th, Finally received on Apr/22. Turns out they tried to get in touch with my contacts but no answer, which is odd because they all have answering machines and work in offices with reception. They sent letters out to my contacts requesting a call.
After I phoned in, they told me they were waiting for my contacts to call in. So one of them called and got the process moving again.

The website info is very lacking, if you want to know the real status, call.

Hello Rifter,

Mine looks like it will be received at their office today(CP shows out for delivery), I was wondering if yours was RPAL as well? I am thinking I'll follow your advice and give them a call tomorrow, just wondering if you were in the same boat, applying for the first time, straightaway for an RPAL.

I doubt a call now would get you any further ahead. It will take about 3 weeks after they receive your application before it shows up online.

-Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.

My application (R/PAL) was solid, I had three people check it over before I sent it. Aced the CFSC and I have a spotless record, they must be incredibly backed up? I live in BC, no references called.

Have you been charged the application fee by RCMP?
 
My RPAL took forever too. Apparantly they tried calling my contacts too but no message or anything. I found out by calling in. I think it was received on Feb 24th and I received 2+months later.
 
I mailed my paperwork on March 14. When I called in mid-April, they were getting ready to call my references, so I had one call in to speed up my application.

Unfortunately, she forgot when she signed it, so they said they would mail back my paperwork so she can sign it again, though I can also have my other reference call in.
 
My PAL app was received on April 27th and I checked today and my license has been mailed. That seems like a really short time compared to some I have read about on here.Neither of my references were contacted...is that odd?

Saw your post online i sent my non-restricted app in in May the express post said it was received on the 6th of may, showed up online on the 24 and payment was received. How much longer you think I'll be waiting? Any ideas? Got my deer license, small game, and hoping to by some tools to get food on the table.
 
sent mine on april 13th received on 17th .. on may 7th it was online and they took payment.. june 1st was 45 days in their hands .. now the wait..
 
Sent away May. 16th, received July. 23rd.
Celebrated the only way I know how.
