PAL Wait Time

I'm a Quebec resident. Took my safety courses in Aug and Sept. Mailed off form in the middle of Sept and showed up as received on Oct 10th. References were finally called this Monday and now my license has been approved and is in the mail. So about 4 months for me.

They revived mine on December 18th, just showed up today in the computer, she asked me a couple questions, said it has to go to a cfo and I should see it in about 1 month. I asked if my references needed to call in and was told no.

Good to know, mine showed up online on 24th
Application was received on dec14
Now i checked today, said initial procssing is completed

For anyone else who is wondering about their timeline.
They recieved mine on Dec 07, 2017. It showed up online Jan 18 saying initial processing has been completed. I called on the 24th and the woman told me that my picture had been sent out somewhere but she couldn’t tell me anything more than that.
I’m getting antsy, but I guess all I can do is wait.

My RPAL application was received on Dec. 14 2017.
It showed up online as initial processing completed on Jan 20.
I called on Jan. 25 and was told that interviews were not necessary and that my photo was sent off for scanning. Playing the waiting game now...

Course Nov 20th
Sent Nov 27th
Online January 10th
status approved and mailed January 16th - No references called
Received January 29th

May 24, 2018, until Jan 21, 2018 for approval. History of non-violent/self-harm depression. PAL approved day of dropping off medical information release form. Regretting not paying the extra $20 for an RPAL local Cabela's is hiring gun counter people.

Began my processing start of November 2017
Had it returned twice for missing info/wrong photo size and finally received the physical license last week January 18th roughly.

Here is my timeline:

Took PAL/RPAL course Sept. 23, 24.
Recieved stamped results from Ontario CFO October 27
Mailed out to RCMP October 30
Recieved by RCMP November 3
Still waiting for license to be issued...

I did answer yes on the loss of job question.

3 of us got our PAL's at the same time. 2 of us got our RPAL's. The 2 of us that got our RPAL's said yes for the loss of job question. Our buddy who didn't get his RPAL had all no's to his questions. He received his license January 9.

Meanwhile my buddy and I are still waiting. The wait has been excruciating!

What was the loss of job question? Is that new?

When I did my PAL I think in 2007 it took about 7 weeks from the time they received the paperwork.

That is pretty impressive! I waited 4 months for mine roughly.

My wife mailed mine on Dec 4, 2017. My mistake....not telling her to send it registered mail. I am not even recognized by their website to check status yet. Also am not sure about the place of birth question as to exact syntax they will use in regards to commas, fwd slash, town and district I was born in. So I phoned today, Jan 9, 2018, and the lady said it might be in the building but can't tell me that. So unfortunately for me I won't know if it got lost in the Christmas mail surge.

Update: just showed up online Jan 19. It states: Application Received on 2017-12-11
Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.

Update: on Jan 22, status went to "processed and issued, call us if you don't see it in two weeks"
Update again: Feb 1st, received it in the mail.
I gotta say that was pretty decent. Not too bad a wait.
