PAL Wait Time

if anyone got delayed, call 1-800-731-4000 with the area 4 digital number. for example, AB province is 9026.

this morning I called and the lady told me why my app is delayed.
only called 1-800-731-4000 is not enough to check the reason.

Anyone have the bc CFO contact info? My application was received November 1st, still haven’t received my pal / rpal as I’m on day 97. No criminal convictions, everything filled out properly - nothing missing etc. My girlfriends was issued on December 20th and we both did ours at the same time - no references called. Seems like it’s getting a bit rediclous as I’m reading on here and people that have applied after me have had their license issued in 45 days or shortly after. When I call them every couple few weeks they say it’s still in the final approval stage with the BC CFO - 7 weeks it has been in his hands, however they don’t ever seem to transfer me to him when I call in, they just tell me nothing is missing and there are no further requests from me at this time.

Any recommendations?

im pretty sure this question was answered but when you’re starting counting the 45 days ? Thanks

Sorry thought I was pretty clear. I have not received my license as I’m on day 97. Other individuals have sent their application in after me and got their license is half the time as in 97 days / 2 = 48.5 days. Not sure what question was already answered as I just created an account today however if you look through the pages of previous messages in 2018 you will notice what I’m refering to in other individuals receiving their licenses in half the time - 45 days total or less from the time received by RCMP and license in hand.

Just phone the regular number and ask to be transfered to the CFO and there you go.

What does the online status thing say?

My license went MIA in the mail. If i didnt call it would have never showed up. They made me wait 30 days then sent out another one which showed up in BC in 3 business days.

online says - Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.

Status hasn't changed since it went online December 5th. My application is on Day 97 today. I asked to be transferred 4 weeks ago and they said it wouldn't change anything over night and to call back in a few weeks which i did today - almost 4 weeks later. Response today is "their busy".

Just call back and ask to be transfered to ask the cfo if there is any additional assistance you can give them. For me, they needed some contact information for an ex spouse. Calling and providing that info helped along the process. Be polite friendly it goes a long way to getting someone to help you who doesnt need to.

the extension number for the BC CFO is 9530 call the main number 1-800-731-4000 keep in mind, you may not get the bc cfo, last time i tried they gave me one in Sask., doesnt matter, cause its all online, its not a piece of paper sitting on a desk somewhere, just call and be overly polite, get them laughing or smiling on the other end and they will be more willing to help out, rather then hearing grumpy people whining about how long it takes( note, i`m not saying you were, just making a general statement is all ), remember, the call centre agents are just that, call centre agents, getting mad or upset with them just means zero chance of a transfer to CFO, and if they do they will make sure the CFO office knows you were getting upset over the phone and ya, you will be waiting longer,

a friend is sitting at 18 months now cause he got a bit mad on the phone around day 60 i think it was, he`s given up calling, figures one day it`ll just show up

patience is key when dealing with them, if you push, they push you to the bottom of the list

I did the CRFSC on November 26th
Sent in my application and it was received on Dec. 1st
CC charged and showed online Jan.15th
I'm in Ontario and still have not received my course results back.

I spoke with the one guy you can call on Jan 17th, and still haven't heard anything back after leaving a message on the 19th. Does anyone know of another way to obtain the course report? or am I just stuck in limbo?

Update

Received course report by email and faxed out on Jan 26th

Called to confirm receipt and was told to wait a few days on Jan 27th

Called again on Feb 5th, told to call back in a week.

Seems a lot of you are faxing your results and getting approved the next day. I didn't check any boxes, and I'm only applying for RPAL.

CFSC/CRFSC
