Can i call my provinces CFO to see if they have received my PAL application? Im kicking myself because my course gave us return to RCMP envelopes but i was told dont have to use a stamp, just knowing they received it would give peace of mind.
too late for you, but i would spend the extra money and send it by say Xpress post or any method that gives you a tracking number. That is what i did. So at least then you know it was received and when.
Agreed. I used the provided envelope from my course instructor but paid for the XPress post so I could have a tracking number. Figured the waiting process is long enough that I’d hate to wait a couple months only to find out it never made it there. I believe mine took 6 days from the day I sent it to the day it was delivered. (AB to NB).
Still waiting.... my son's RPAL application finally showed up online.
Aug 31, 2020 - Application sent to the RCMP (from BC)
Sept 4, 2020 - Received by the RCMP
Dec 31, 2020 - Credit card charged & showed online - "initial process complete, in progress"
Hopefully Feb/Mar 2021 for him to get his RPAL.

Dang, wish i knew i could do that before i went. way she goes though, guess gotta wait it out.
You were told you didn’t have to use a stamp!!?? Unless you sent it Xpresspost then without a stamp, and without a return address on the RCMP envelope, you’ll have to resubmit your application unfortunately. Those envelopes do NOT have prepaid postage.

I sent mine by regular mail but yes in retrospect I wish I would have sent it Xpresspost.
BC has been 2 weeks from cc charge i've been noticing, I wish Alberta would get the lead out.
Jul 31 - Application received by RCMP
Nov 20 - Contacted RCMP to discover I hadn't sent in my restricted course certificate, payed by CC. Sent in course certificate within a couple days
Dec 18, 2020 - Status had changed from processing to "Your application has been processed and your license has been issued."
Dec 31, 2020 - received my shiny new PAL, with restricted designation in the mail.
Nov 20 - Contacted RCMP to discover I hadn't sent in my restricted course certificate, payed by CC. Sent in course certificate within a couple days
Dec 18, 2020 - Status had changed from processing to "Your application has been processed and your license has been issued."
Dec 31, 2020 - received my shiny new PAL, with restricted designation in the mail.
Application for Pal/RPAL sent my via registered mail, confirmed delivered September 16, called yesterday, they have no record In Database yet told to wait two more weeks. One of the guys I took the course with sent his docs in received September 16th received his card on the December 24th

How did you pay? by Credit Card? If they havent charged your CC yet - the app is not in the system. That is why it is not in the database.
Sounds like the other guy got lucky. I read they are 4 months behind with new apps.

Its been issued?
"Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canadian Firearms Program Toll Free number. (1-800 731-4000)" on the website
Yup yet to receive it in the mail tho
