PAL Wait Time

Is any one here guys having a technical issue with the RCMP's individual web services (check status)? It's been like that since yesterday!
 
I can check mine no problems.

No one seems to have had one issued since 18th Jan though. Odd because it was very regular for the last few months prior to then.
 
Status update:
Course completed & document mailed September 26th, 2020
Application received October 2nd, 2020
CC charged January 27th, 2021
Shows online January 27th, 2021
BC PAL/RPAL Applicant
 
Why is there such a long delay?

Considering they weren't even running courses for a period because of lock downs, and once they resumed classes were limited to smaller sizes, wouldn't they have a lower volume of applications to process?

You would think Covid would speed up license processing.

You would think so I know in NL theirs only been 1 class in the past year and I was lucky enough to get into it with my fiancé less classes faster times I would think I guess not tho . They got ours signature mail October 16th so hopefully any time now

Exactly this. And the fact they are running at half capacity too for the application office doesnt help us out..... on a steady 4 month waiting period after reading more previous posts.

If your application has been approved you can phone them and ask for your PAL number. Then you can make an online purchase as soon as you hang up the phone. That should scratch your wallet.
 
Ontario October Applicant here - are they even calling references anymore? Or only if you've checked off a box.

Just need to let me friends know to either expect a call or not once the CC is charged.

Edit: Sorry for the second question but does anyone here know if a range membership is mandatory for a restricted purchase?

They didn’t call my references
And Ontario does not require club membership for restricted purchase
 
Good evening, could anyone enlighten me on when the application appears online? I mailed mine in mid-October and nothing shows up yet, thanks.

A few posts back some people who sent at beginning of October are starting to get charged, Should be any day now that your CC gets charged then it should show up shortly after :)
