PAL Wait Time

My PAL/RPAL application was received by the government on 7 January for me but when logging in to see if it appears on their website is says no application found with my details on record. Am I right in thinking this is normal as they may not have scanned it yet or is this cause for concern and I should give them a call? I’m not expecting it to be processed yet given the delays they have but I don’t know if it should be visible in the system at this stage.

Your app won’t be “in the system” yet, thus the website saying there is no application found. Once it has completed initial processing it will show up.

My app took exactly 16 weeks to show up online and show initial processing was completed.

Hi everyone,
Sent in my application jan15th without safety report, I just received my stamped copies back from the CFO (course taken in early December in Ontario). I was wondering how/where/when I should send the stamped certificates?
Is there anyone I should call to give a heads up that the certificates are arriving? Or should I just mail them to the same address that I sent the application to?
 
Any November applications?

I mailed mine in on the 13th, just regular mail. I'll post once its initiated with dates.
I called last week to update my address and they said to call back in a week or two once its been initiated.

Fax it to them. Ask them for a fax number. If you snail mail it will take forever
 
I sent my application by registered mail and it was received in Miramichi on Nov 6. It showed up on the RCMP website on March 1st and my license was issued on March 4th. Just waiting for it to come in the mail now.

Ontario, registered mail received 23Nov2020...this process is incredibly slow.

fingers crossed for another 2-3 week wait.

Course paperwork recieved Oct 21.

Mailed App Oct 24.
App received Oct 28.

CC charge Feb 22.
Approved Feb 25.

Received in mail March 8

Even after it's active its terribly slow. I'm over 6 weeks of being active and it's apparently still in the initial processing of CPS. Don't get your hopes up to high LOL
 
Quebec here (upgrade to R-PAL)

Application received in Miramichi on Oct 19
Status appeared online & CC charged on Feb 9

Hope it's coming soon...!

CC charged: Feb 01, 2021
Showed up online: Feb 02, 2021
Licence issued Mar 10, 2021
Today for first time, I called the CFO, BC office ext #9530
Nice lady from CFO office told me that everything is fine and you will receive the licence via mail in couple of weeks.

and just checked the status online

“Current Status: Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canadian Firearms Program Toll Free number. (1-800 731-4000)”

No reference was ever contacted.

I'm in the same boat man. Looking forward to getting on the range in prep for turkey and bear season.... hurry up and wait is all we can do.

Timeline:
Mailed: September 25
Received: October 1
Visible online: Jan 22
CC Charge: Jan 22
Approved: 11 March - Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canadian Firearms Program Toll Free number. (1-800 731-4000)
