My update is the same.
Exactly 4 months, CC charged for Ontario.
My application is for restricted.
Application mailed Nov. 20th.
CC charged Mar. 22nd.

BC Pal/Rpal application.

Mailed November 13.
Didn't pay express so didn't get received notice.
March 22 Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.

Congrats.

I get to call today to update my address, as I have moved since I mailed it in and have been waiting to be able update it. I really hope that doesn't slow it down even
more. I'm hoping for the 6 day approval, so I can get a rifle from my uncle when he is stopping for a visit, 8nstead of him having to mail it.

I sent both in together. My PAL course was in Mid-September, so it took 4 weeks or so for the course results to come in. Sent the app in via registered mail.

I faxed mine in this morning (it just went online this morning) so this will be a good benchmark to see how that will add to my wait time. I put my reference number on the course fax so lets see how close the fax machine is to whoever is looking at the applications!

I'm curious too how this works out. I am doing the same thing waiting for mine to show online (I'll be a few months yet). Please update your results.

My PAL wait time experience...

Mailed my application on the 29th/30th of September 2020.
On February 3, 2021, I received an emailed letter due to my CC having expired since I mailed the application. The letter indicated they "received" my application on October 9, 2020 (about a week and half after mailing it).
On February 4, 2021 I called to update the CC. They charged it that same day.
On March 5, 2021 I received my PAL in the mail.

So, almost 6 months.

They never called my spouse, or my references, either. Can't understand that part. I have held security clearances before, and am a current NEXUS holder (which was provided on my application). But I wouldn't think those should matter. At the very least, I expected my spouse to get a call.

nope. If she signed your forms you are g2g if not is when she will get a call so they can ask if she 'feels safe' with you getting firearms. As for other refs it seems they haven't been doing this due to covid.

What's the logic for not doing it cause of covid? Wouldn't that just increase the chance that the people can be reliably reached?

Just checked today, I don't think they called my references or myself, but it looks like everything was okay!
