Hey guys,

I currently have my non restricted PAL and my restricted is on the way in the mail. Does anyone know if my PAL number changes when I upgrade to restricted or does it stay the same just with an updated card?

Mine stayed the same. ... just had Restricted written on the back under non-restricted.

Number should stay the same, but the issue number should go up by one to show that a new card has been issued. 123456789.0001 to 123456789.0002. It will also happen when you renew your license, or if it gets lost/damaged and needs to be replaced.

Well, mine took something like six minutes. Other people have been waiting six weeks. If you're good looking like I am you can try to drop by the CFO's office and dazzle them with your sculpted muscles, otherwise call it in and get in line. If you're too handsome it might backfire and they'll try to keep you there longer.

It really varies by province, Eastern provinces are usually horrible from what I hear, Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan are usually decent.

You made me LOL, I know there's the option of faxing in a request, would that be the quicker method?

Suffix changes with every new card or change in class, but the suffix is not needed to purchase online.
