Anybody irritated by the shooting sports coverage, or lack thereof?

I tried calling CBC and their phone number goes nowhere. So, I've called my MPs office to try and get a number (had to leave a message). I've started to call some of the sponsors head offices. So far, I've gotten some full voice mail boxes. I guess that I will have to be sneaky about the purpose of my call.

I got a phone number for the CBC to call ....

1-866-306-4636 or 1-416-205-3311

I tried the 416 number and did talk to human.

It would be nice to get some kind of video coverage thats for sure. I do not watch tv so it wouldn't matter for me if it is broadcast there or not. I haven't owned a television since 2006. All the good shows from the are on youtube so if I occasionally get an urge to watch one I just head for the pc and youtube

Shooting sports is rarely shown on TV. Olympics, Pan Games or Commonwealth games etc because it's one of the most boring things to watch. eg. 50m rifle

terrific job by the news women doing the interview.
and the downside of the sport like someone just said, very boring to watch, and hard to film i would think.

Yes I was thinking that, nothing more boring than watching golf yet cameramen are able to find that ball in flight and track it and film it. Clay targets are much larger, alot brighter and travel alot less distance?!! Personally I think the double camera deal with one focused on the shooter and the other filming the inkball hit would be 150X more exciting than a golf ball landing and bouncing into a sand trap!! :)

Think golf...

I'd rather watch golf than 50m Standing Rifle. They take 1 shot and take a 10min rest between shots. It's enough to put anyone to sleep. I think the only people who watch shooting are family and coaches. Winter, with Biathlon is a completely different story. Hey, maybe they should come up with a summer version of Biathlon. But, to be honest guys, shooting sports on TV is really boring, the reason why they don't broadcast it.

I think that trap, especially olympic trap where they don't make every single shot, with good camera work, would be fairly entertaining to watch for those who care about that sport.

Well the truth us the tickets for this event sold out a lot earlier then most. I guess all the shooters have big families...

I was at the men's double trap medal match. Tickets sold out quickly And I thought that meant there would be a lot of people there... Turns out they must have only sold 100 tickets. Stands were not full and I would say there were more volunteers than spectators.
