Paper Cartridges, step by step photos..

Very interesting. I think I will pick up a pack of Zig Zags tonight and try rollin' a few for may Walker. Range night is Wednesday. I'll post my results on Thurs.

Well, I gave this a try in my Walker last night, and it worked out really good. The only problem is I will need to find wider rolling papers. I order to fully encircle the projectile I needed to splice another half a paper to the first one. Standard papers are wide enough for .44 caliber but my walker is a .475. The load was 55 grains of FFF behind a 200 gr conical. The paper cartridge was totally consumed and did not need a hole poked in it to ensure ignition as some people have suggested.
I now have to figure out a more time efficient method of manufacturing these. I am thinking of making up a tapered section of dowelling to form the paper around as the first step. Then adding the projectile and twisting that end shut and finally adding the powder.
I found the hardest part was trying to form the proper taper to facilitate easy loading.
