paper shells... for rifles?

I've recently fallen down the rabbit hole of paper shotgun shells. I've watched so many videos on youtube about them, read so many forum posts about them, and this has lead me to becoming curious about the possibility of paper shells for rifles.
Is this something that has ever been done?
Obviously we have those paper cartridges some people use for muzzle loading, and that unfortunately made the search slightly difficult as most search results for "paper rifle shells" just brings me back to shotguns or those muzzle loading cartridges.

Obviously there would be some downsides to using paper shells, but there could also be some upsides.
One downside is that the paper shell wouldn't handle high pressure as well as brass does, limiting them to low pressure, perhaps black powder or gallery loads.
One upside is that you could create shells for rounds that are difficult or expensive to get brass for with relative ease.

So, if anyone has any info about such a thing, let me know, I'm very curious and excited to continue this deep dive into paper cartridges.

There are the foil wrapped cases for 577-450 and similar black powder cartridges but it's definitely a very low pressure application.
Can't think of any others but it's amazing what's been tried over the past 200 years.

Extracting the empty shell, or remains of it, might be problematic.
I’m positive you are not the first person to come up with this idea so there must be someone who has tried it and it likely failed

The 1863 sharps and the monkey tail Westley Richard’s use paper cartridges as did a few other early percussion breechloaders.
It would be possible to have a modern paper cartridge for a rifle and it would probably look something like a paper 410 shell loaded with black powder and a lead bullet but it be a one use only deal and no advantage to it at all and no real difference from what is used in a percussion Sharps already.Also black powder fouling would gum up the works pretty quickly I imagine
