Para dropping external extractor?

C%$P I mean Kimber!

I am looking at these 2 brands for a new stainless 1911. Still sorting out the specs in my head...sorry.

I am reading that Kimber is moving away from the external extractor on its pistols, and using a more traditional internal version.

Can anyone confirm this? Is if for all of their pistols or just some etc.?

I believe that Kimber only uses the External Extractor on two of their current pistols and will continue to do so.

One is the - Stainless TLE II, I forget the other model which has the EE. I had a Stainless TLE II and bough a few extra Extractors just incase... I never ended up using any and it worked just fine. I've since sold the pistol and last I heard it was still running like a champ.
