Wow! I'm not sure how we missed this thread for so long?
First off, those upset with the quality of their Para pistols, please don't get North Sylva and Para USA confused. We do not design, manufacture, or assemble Para Ordnance pistols. We are simply the importer and distributor.
We understand there have been alot of people disappointed with the performance of their Para pistols. And it seems the company has gone through a fairly long transition period from their move from Canada to the USA.
We stand behind our product's and want consumer's to enjoy their purchases for years to come, but at the end of the day these are still mechanical items that sometimes require parts and labour. That being said the return rate for Para Ordnance is still relatively low. However, those upset with their pistols performance are always the most vocal, which is why you often see the "my pistol sucks thread".
We always try to stock replacement parts. Not only for Para Ordnance but for as many of the product lines that we carry as possible. That being said, we are at the mercy of the manufactures when it comes to the delivery of said parts. We also have a gunsmith from Para that does our repairs. He does not work for us however, and we unfortunately don't see him as often as we like.
Also, another factor that will delay the return and the repair of your pistol is not contacting out returns department. A few of you have mentioned Dan's name now. Dan's a great guy, but has absolutely nothing to do with returns or warranty repairs. To those in need of service, please contact jeff@northsylva.com. He will authorize your return, and ensure that it gets repaired in a timely fashion.
We are large company with 1000's of inquires each day. We try to stay on top of things as much as possible but often get bogged down. Please be patient. And after nearly 50 years in this business, we must be doing something right.
