Wow, I can't believe Para has such a bad rap. A month ago I was shopping for a 1911. I have only shot the Remington R1 and I loved it so much I went to go buy a R1 Enhanced. After holding it next to and comparing to S/W, STI Trojan, and Sig Scorpion I wasnt impressed. STI and Sig were nice for sure, tighter, but also more money. The next day I came across a Para GI Expert and quite frankly I was very impressed with the build quality, fit and finish, and tighness. For $699 it seem like a great 1911 in that price range. Of course longevity is a commitment. I have yet to hold a Kimber.
