Para TAc-Five opinions

Yea the benefits of our modern day Canadian soldier...No life like it! Where else can you get three square a day, Play "I am the target" so their love ones and total strangers back home don't have to. Read about some clown in Toronto who thinks the vets teach war mongering to our children. Sounds like a hell of a life to me.

Thankfully there are a few of us who are very grateful to the men and women who serve this country called Canada. More than a few, if the folks that line the 401 when our fallen return home are any indication.

Para isn't making a dime on this venture but surely will earn a following amongst those who serve...as they should.

Make me laught, what is the % of army personnel that have to go to the front line? As I remember, going in the sand box is on volonteer basis.

I know someone who just got back from his tour, he made 60k$+ no tax, sorry but it's pretty well paid. I have see 10-15% military discount at a bunch of place.

I'm proud of the military and I have tought more than once to go in the reserve but it wouldn't be possible with my job.

I still don't like rebate for certain person, like Pharmacist that was getting gift from Pharm corp. and police that get freebies. When I was young and working in a Shell, for each Policemen that was going to the counter, he would get a free car wash.

I do a job that can be dangerous (High Voltage), I get my pay and no freebie. It's not "honorable" but I'm sure many like to have Electricity.

I could continue my rant but I can't have those low priced Para.

Canuck, Para not making a dime? They probably still make a few hundred on the pistol, and it give them publicity. I guess they sell it the same price they sell them to the store, they make the same money.

Icefire;

If your working a job and not on your fat a$$ collecting welfare (without legitimate reason); you have an Honourable job. (ps. power and snow plow guys should get more respect. If they don't roll out, guess who can't roll out behind them? Police, Fire and EMS)

As to discounts and gimmies, a lot of industries offer it. It's the company that is offering it who picks and chooses the demographics on who gets what.

For example. I use to work for a bank (not a branch but one of the head offices). We would get free banking and money management consults. They didn't offer it to just everyone off the street. Like American Express use to say "Membership has it's privileges".

When I worked in another ambulance service; the police and the fire dept. would get free coffee and doughnuts. It wouldn't be too bad if it was only the city fire dept guys getting free stuff, but anyone with a FD tee shirt would get free stuff (local and non-local). We still had to pay for our coffee and doughnuts.

Sorry Icefire; unfortunately life is not fair. (Just like I can't become a constable because of partial colour blindness--It sucks but that's the way it works).

Damn 54$ for a Para mag, or 93$ for a Todd Jarett mag.. ouch!.

trubluscrew, partial color blind? suck hard.

I tought many time to apply for the CBSA... but currently working for a private High voltage service compagnie and might get 10-20% of the compagny, so changing job is not an option.. ;)

1- Volonteer basis only for the reservist. (believe me, I had no choice for going the first time and I'm only trying to find the best time for me and the family to go back, since I was told by the CoC that I have to go back within the next 18 months)
2- Not very useful 60k if you come back injured, messed up or dead
3- Please let me know where you've seen all those rebase so I can profit from them
4- Can we go back on the subject of the Tac Five Experience please ????

Like Words Twice I hve shot the Tac Five and can say it has a very smoooooth trigger, Todd Jarrret won a few National titles with the LDA trigger a while back when the gun first came out.

The Tac Five is not legal in IPSC Production but is legal in IDPA SSP and ESP if any of that matters. For the price and the three mags are a bonus, the gun represents real value.

My Paras have been extremely accurate and reliable. If you are in the Military or retired then these guns make sense, if you have a need or are filthy rich and want one to hang on the wall.:D
