As above, checking for value. Made between 1910 and 1920. Vulcan steel. Not much case hardening or blue. Wood has some splinters missing and a pad was added at some time. The wood may have been refinished as it appears almost gummy at the hand grip area. It appears to lock up tight. A firing test will take place next week. I am unsure of the lock size and actual grade as I could not locate those. I am assuming the VH grade as the barrel is marked Vulcan (steel). Thanks for the help.

If you check guns international you will see prices all over the board ranging from $2300.00 to $13,000.00. And some of these have been reblued, refinished and have had other things done to them. Of course these guns aren't sold yet. You really need to pinpoint the model and maybe provide pics. Also find out if the bores have been honed out etc. etc.

I did some web research earlier and then saw the shotgun. Of nine grades it is second lowest. Other than the pad I think it was original. I don't know what it is choked at either but will have another chance to see and fire it. This gun has not been fired or even been out of a case much for 20 years. The current owner is the third as far as we can tell. I would call the metal 20% and the wood about 30% due to the pad and dings and missing splinters of stock at the tang, etc. This gun was hunted pretty hard. The owner can recall his father hunting it. You're right that the prices you see on U.S. websites are asking prices and don't reflect reality up here. There are some that are much lower too.
Did you see the three Parker Invincibles owned by Peterson (magazine publisher)? Three custom Parkers of a kind; no others like them, 5 million dollars value.

Your Grade is stamped on the reciever floor, go to parkercollectors home paige as it descibes all the info you will need, even in your current condition, most guys would offer $1K and restore here by putting a couple grand into the resoration, even thought it is a field grade gun, still very valuable, hope you whack some upland game and have fun! If you need any more direct help, PM me here, cheers Dale Z!

Just a quick update. I acquired this shotgun today. I tried it last week. It is a double trigger with full amd modified barrels. The full goes first on the front trigger/right barrel. There are selective ejectors that work fine. The gun was made in 1914, is a VH grade on a 0 action. It has a straight grip and ivory bead. It came with an old leather half case. Cool. Functionally this gun is just fine and accounted for 3 or 4 grouse. It locks up like it was made yesterday. It is a pleasure to carry and shoot.
