I know they are hard to come by, but what kind of price should one expect to pay for a good condition used, magnum caliber magazine for the Parker Hale model 1200c?

That's more than the guns used to cost!! I remember the 1200 Safari selling for about $165.00.

243/308 mags are the hardest to find and prices approach $200 regularly. Magnum mags are the next, with prices a little lower. 270/30-06 are the more available mags but still bring $150+.

Now multiply that by 10 to factor in inflation. It actually was substantial money back then. - dan

Thanks for the insight, I just picked up a 1200c in 7mm RM parts gun that was heavily damaged in an ATV rollover and it came with two slightly used spare mags. I'll put them on the EE.

Interesting... I used to see the .243/.308 mags quite regularly at gun shows and such. And they weren't that expensive. The magnum mags were more expensive but even then reasonable. ($100 or less for either)

However, as supply/demand goes, they are overall rarer these days and COVID19/inflation dictates higher asking prices.

Edging on $200/mag? Wild.

Last fall, I emailed WGP and asked them if the had any in stock as they used to have repro ones. They answered back that those mags were were obsolete and were normally going for $200 at gun shows. I asked the question here to get a broader opinion.

Interesting, cause I usually suggest calling WGP when CGNutz peoples are looking for unobtaniums....
Prolly should be my stock answer for such questions.

Big bucks for a mag, but not that far out. Try to get a mag for an original BLR. Your looking at $350

I have a C3 style 5rd for a .300 Win Mag 1200c which I think is kind of cool.

I bought one for the 1200c in 7mm rem mag a couple mounts back for 180.It was new old stock in original box got it from a seller on the EE.
