Parker Hale still exists today but basically only doing what their core business has always been, making accessories and custom gunsmithing. The rifle you have is what I believe a 1200 Safari. If you have a removable magazine, it is the 1200C version. If you haven't noticed, it is built on a commercial Mauser action made in Spain-Santa Barbara company(earlier PH Mausers were often surplus military Mausers but the 300WinMag you have is a later rifle). Furthermore, the 300WinMag Safari is apparently quite rare in comparison to those chambered in other calibers.

If you search 'Parker Hale Safari' on this site or elsewhere, I'm sure you'll be able to find a link to date your particular rifle.

It is a good rifle and most that have one today still consider them accurate, despite the 1/12 rifling. The Santa Barbara action is sometimes criticised for the roughness, especially on the lug rails, the extra sloppy bolt(even for a Mauser), and the heavy spring used.

Particularly nice is the stock. That is a nice piece of wood.
