Hello Friends!

A while back I posted a thread asking for advice regarding a smaller Caliber riffle as I was being given a 375H&H and thought it might be a wee too big for me. I was really surprised at how many people came by and to give me great advice. I Have decided to buy a smaller caliber riffle later down the road but not for the same reasons as I had originally described. Anyhow, I promised to post a pictures of my new/old rifle that my father gave me, So here it is!

And yes I also bought a Zeiss scope, I was just waiting on the rifle before I purchased the mount and rings for it.

Oh, and for those of you who are wondering the reason I am planing on buying a new rifle is because the ammo for the 375h&H is really expensive! I think I have decided on a Ruger Sporter 7mm rem mag Or a Sako Bavarian/ Hunter Laminated in the same caliber. Again, thanks to those who took the time to give me such great advice!

Sorry it took so long.

I can see Reloading in my future. I am however quite new at this whole gun thing and the addiction is just starting to get a hold of me. I will need to find someone to teach me how to reload as well as save up for the equipment. I will probably start looking into reloading in the next few years.

Reloading will become it's own addiction. ;) It will also pay for itself in terms of your initial equipment investment in no time. I reload for the .375 H&H, and get to shot a LOT more. :)

Also, that is a very nice rifle!

Nice rifle! You might find that rifle will do anything you need it for in your neck of the woods, but a 270Win wouldn't be a bad idea to go with it either.

You'll have fun shooting at that beautiful range you have in Whitehorse.

You need to take up reloading.

Okay well for sh*tz and giggles, how would someone begin learning reloading. I'm usually okay with self teaching but reloading isn't something I want to take chances and make mistakes with. How did you guys learn?

Buy a reloading book and read it. Then start with your buddies brass. Haha. No really it works

That is a rare gun you have, I have never seen any Parker Hales chambered in 375 H&H, just saw in old advertisements I have on hand, don't give up on it, you can buy some of the Federal ammo for very reasonable price. If you need any ammo, give my friends shop a try www.gmkarms.net , chris or gerry will get you a good price on some softnose federals for sure! Cheers Dale Z in T-Bay!

Pseudo, my 375s have both gone to new homes. If you want some 375 ammo just in time to go bison hunting, send me a PM.

Merry Christmas! :)
