Parker Hale Custom .303, Hooded Front Sight Adjust

I just bought a Parker Hale Custom in .303 and am wondering how to adjust the front hooded sight. I'm guessing the hood comes off but I wanted to see what the experts have to say first.

Not an expert but the hood should just tap off in a forward direction. A few tap to the rear to remove, just take note of which end the groove for the head stops on. Do you need to shift the front sight right or left in its dovetail or do you just want the hood off.

It needs to move left in the dovetail, I'd like to leave the hood on outside of this adjustment.

Parker hale front sights use the same front sight as the Lee Enfield military sights. so if you need you can get different heights etc. In your case just a left correction.

Thanks all, it was an adventure as all new things are but it's done and this gun is unbelievably accurate. I'll be posting some pics and asking for restoration advice closer to the winter months; all I wanna do now is shoot it and work on custom loads. Thanks again.
