Parker Hale identification help!

That’s a 1200C all day. The stock looks very similar to a standard 1200 pattern but I agree it looks to have been refinished. They typically have a very high gloss stock. Could be the forend was reshaped and finished with an ebony tip? That or stock replaced in the past with a similar pattern. Very nice rifle!

I have that rifle's twin here, was aquired about 30 years ago..give or take..She's put a fair amount of meat in the freezer..found the magazine feed to be a little rough, but otherwise a decent rifle...

Very nice rifle, IMO

I'm not sure if it is a Safari or a 1200 Superclip, maybe a 1200C. I always thought the Safaris had iron sights as backup.

If this one here is a 1200, it had iron sights - holes for front sight still visible, as is the dovetail for the rear sight.

From those days, scopes were actually unusual - at least where I grew up in Western Saskatchewan - so the notion of "back-up" is a relatively recent thing - for many years, scopes that were available to buy, by the average person, were not very dependable - usually not trusted - fogging, breaking, etc. - so there was a whole plethora of work around - "see-through" scope mounts, etc. - in case the scope actually worked!

I now have my dad’s Parker hale 300 win mag, but there’s no model number but it doesn’t look anything like what I’ve seen online.

It has a rounded black end on the forestock unlike most I see where it’s like a wedge or chisel, I’m truly stumped. It has “MAG-34336” on the side of the receiver but not much else, also it has a matte or eggshell finish rather than a glossy one, gold trigger.

I’m on my phone so I’ll add some pics later.. maybe just the description will be enough.

What you have is a Parker Hale model 1200C and MAG-34336 is it's serial number.
