Hi,
A bit curious with this ph mod 1200c seems to be in new condition but missing rear/front sights on the barrel. As far as I know, these ph comes with sights on and this one apparently didnt have it removed. Maybe a replaced barrel or some years came out like this without sights ? Anybody knows ?

thanks for your inputs

Take a tape line to the barrel ensure it is the right length... In the 60's & 70's there were loads of these and Lee Enfields cut and recrowned. If it is the right length after that there should be a maker's mark somewhere near the chamber... I know a guy that knows a lot about these rifles, he is out of town right now and very seldom comes to this forum but when he gets back I will see if he can chime in...

Any maker's or proof marks on the barrel? If not, it is likely a replacement.
That is a late PH, with the bolt stop/ejector unit introduced on the Midland 2100 series.

As tiriaq pointed, there should be proofmarks on the barrel. But there was a version of the 1200 available in both 1200 Std and 1200C with a heavier barrel and no sights, with the same stock as your.
Yours is of the late production, I guess post '81 (the DOM can be figured with the proof mark, need the letters / numbers around the "X").
