Anyone recognize this cleaning kit and what country/era it belonged to?... I say it's Parker Hale because the brass attachments are stamped as such.

AND... what are the 2 multi-tools for; they were in there when I bought it.

Thanks!

What you have there is the standard Canadian forces issued section cleaning kit for the 7.62mm C1A1 and C2A1 FN rifles. The combo tools are for the same. Used 1956-early 90s.

Your kit looks complete and quite new.

Tools: The one end has gas block/gas plug scraper and gas regulator wrench, the other a front sight adjustment tool, screw driver and gas port reamer.

FN Cleaning Kits

These kits seem to have been released as Surplus as quite a few of them have been showing up at Gun Shows lately.

I bought one at the Brandon Gun Show in December for $15 complete as pictured above except mine also had the small oil bottle (about 3 inches long that was similar to the Lee Enfield butt stock oil bottle) that has the spoon shaped applicator inside.

Another good cleaning kit is the Swiss rifle cleaning kit for the Schmidt-Rubin rifle. Trade-ex has them for about $15, and I would consider it a bit better than the Canadian FNC1 kit because it has brass "guides" that would not contact the bore of the rifle.
