Parker hale m82-m87-C3-C3A1 Rifles

That’s really nice, it must have been an M84 I was looking at it had the square, closed top receiver like yours and the bolt handle extension.

Nice rig

Nice M85, and only 5000pounds, so add another 1-2k$ to get it here.

That M85 is sweet. Had me looking up export companies in the UK. Then the fact that I don’t have $10k under my mattress brought me back to reality.

I finally read this whole board on the C3
Went through my 40x Remington parts and accessories box, haven't done it in year's, as my four gun
build has been finished for a long time
Found a set of brand new Parker Hale steel m82 scope mounts for my m82.
Put the mounts on the receiver , perfect fit big rear screws and small forward screws
What kind of rings can I use on them?

note that Canadians can register on gunbroker and buy items that the US allows to be exported. It is a bit of a hassle as you have to get in touch with a moderator to complete registration. You also have to cheat on the credit card info that they require as it does not recognize Canadian provinces. Currently I live in Washington State, Canada but was able to submit a bid that was accepted by the system.

M85. These were very accurate direct from Parker Hale. One of 2 Parker Hale Engineers that hand build these still with us. If you have serial number I can get you all the info on the build including accuracy test. Ron

What about the 1200TX?
Is there similar info /build logs available for these?

There is a book on the history of Canadian Snipers and equipment that has some decent info on the C3’s and later models, C3A1, C14 etc. The title is “Without Warning”

It’s a decent historical reference

All Parker Hale build records for the 1200TX, M82 and C3 where destroyed when the assets went to the new Owners post bankruptcy. There is limited info available on a few C3 returns. A 1200TX with it's original barrel can be dated by the proof code on the underside of the barrel. Clive Law has some info in his book "Without Warning" - it's a good reference. Ron
