Parker-Hale Magazine

Good Day.

I have this magazine from a bastardized Lee Enfield conversion. Its has Parker-Hale Limited stamped on it and is a 5 round magazine for .303 I was wondering if this has any value or is just another mag. Ive seen 10 round mags go for $35-75 but have never seen a 5 round mag before.

A 5 round mag will go for 30 to 60 $ depending on condition. I picked up 2 at the local gun show last weekend for $35 each. That being said, For a Parker Hale collector he might pay more. I would give you $40 if in decent shape.

Is it a No4 or a No1 Magazine?

The rifle it came from was a No4

it is for a No4 because the ribs are not fully finished on the mag side, No 1 has ribs pressed all over the side length

The five round magazines I have had were all unreliable. Fortunately you can fit five rounds in a ten round magazine, but I think there is at least one province where hunting regulations limit magazines to five rounds, so someone there might want one.
