Parker Hale made several heights of rings - RALS are the lowest. RANS and then RAHS are each higher by about .10" each. Just measured - RALS is about .260" from top of base to bottom of scope body; RAHS measure .460". The ".3" part of the scope ring name designates it as for a 1" diameter scope body.
Your scope of choice might have an unusually large eye-piece. My Safari Deluxe accepted a Leupold M8-4x with clearance. It as about a 1.56" diameter objective. (Correction: I have not tried to mount any scope on my Safari Deluxe, but did mount a Leupold M8 on my Parker Hale - believed to be a 1200 - 308 Norma Mag 24" barrel using the A22 and A28 bases which appear identical height to the soldered-on factory ones on the Deluxe. The Safari Deluxe is also 308 Norma but with 21 3/4" barrel - the receivers appear to be identical)
Looks like change ring height or change scopes - I have not been successful finding any other brand of ring to attach to Parker Hale bases. Much more challenging solution is to heat and remove the soldered-on bases, then drill and tap for conventional bases. I have a pair of "unsoldered" bases here, but no idea how much heat it will take to remove. It has been posted on this site that those bases are not soft soldered, but silver soldered, which requires very nearly red heat to melt, so that would be ruining the heat treat to remove them - could only have been installed during or before original heat treat of the receiver.
