I've got a No. 4 with a Parker Hale aperture sight. I think it might be a model 5C. Anybody know of any old instructions for this sight that might be floating around on the internet or elsewhere? I can puzzle it out eventually on my own, but it would be nice to know for sure what all the little knobs and screws are supposed to do.

Here's a good web site.

Mostly they are half-minute clicks but some are quarter-minute ones.
When you have got it zeroed you loosen the little screws on the index plates to line up the zero mark.
The rear screw hole is No.4BA, the front one uses an extended version of the 3BA ejector screw.

It's always nice if they come with all of the screws, springs etc. that are required to mount them. Too many of them come by themselves.

They're usually somewhere around the $200 mark.

Clockwise is up and right.

If you back off the lock knob on the front of the vertical piece, you can depress it and then pull the bridge right off. The rifle is not stored or transported with the sight bridge installed. If you leave it on the rifle it will get bent.

Some good advice there.
