I bought a 308 Parker Hale rifle that was advertised as 1200 TX model, when I got registration from the CFO, it was written M86 on the certificate. Is that right and do I, in fact, have a M86? It has a wooden stock, swing plate magazine for 4 rounds loaded one by one from the top and a Kahles scope, I think zf69 model. The bolt handle is a "half ball" (which is a PITA to use, your hand starts hurting after a while). Does anyone know approximate value for that rifle in its present configuration?

How long is the barrel?
Does the stock have any stippling?

A 1200T is described as having a 660mm barrel and a plain stock; a M86, 698m and stippled gripping areas.

The barrel is 660 mm and the stock is plain (not stippled), so, I guess it's a 1200 TX. Here are some pics, wouldn't mind to get an idea about the value:

You have a Parker Hale 1200TX. Kahles scope is commerical. Is the bipod mounted to a steel rail or directly to the stock?

So you're the one that bought that!

Yes, that is a 1200TX - definitely not an M86 - the CFC screwed up on that one!

M86 uses a whole different action.

Nice looking rifle though!

Cheers, Carl
