I have a pump shotgun that has a parkerized finish, want to reblued the whole gun, can it be done? anyone has done it before?

.

Labour intensive but can be done. Parking is tougher for a hunting gun, so I imagine your doing it for appearance. You have to polish all the metal to the state you want the blue to appear (blue hides nothing). If you want matte, bead blast the gun. If you want shinnier, bead blast the park off with fine media and get to work polishing. Best bet is to send it to someone who does refinishing and has power polishing equipment, much faster...

Yes it is for appearance, the gun was neglected and is looking bad.

Do you have any idea of a gunsmith who could do this kind of work? in Canada?
