was wondering if anybody knew of someone that do parkerizing in the Montreal area.
i got two 870 that needs refinishing, i was tinking of rebluig them but "Dante" turned me off with what he charges... i found someone in Sherbrooke that would do it for a more decent price, but i like the park look better.

thanks

Francis at Armtech is the "someone in Sherbrooke" i was refering to in my first post. But i didn't think of asking him to refer me someone else. he offers bead blast blue, not quite park but maybe what i'll go for.
What do you think?

I would just ship it to the guy that worked on my bren, he does the best park work I have ever seen and he does various colours as well.

Have a look at the pics, it would be worth the extra few bucks for the shipping to have a better finish

thats what i tought when i read your post about the Bren some days ago, and sent Nick an email about that. he seems like an amazing guy to deal with judging by his fast/detailed answer. i would trust him to give me the best finish i could possibly get, but he said he is not that familiar with shotgun and the price is a little high (considering how much i paid the guns).

Anybody dealt with "tactical ordnance"? i never read comments on their services... but the price is better and they are a Remington Authorized Repair Center so i could have them fix minor issues at the same time.

No offence intended but you get what you pay for. You want your average grey park job done then so be it you want something extra special then Nick is your man. He's an honest guy and if he said he's not familiar with the shottie then I understand but keep in mind when he did my bren he broke it right down to the trigger group and put it back together(A full sized bren gun) a shot gun would be nothing for him.

If I were you I'd send my shottie to him in a heartbeat as I said before its the best work I have ever seen.

I would have to agree. In the firearms business you often do get what you pay for. Gunsmiths are no exeption. There is a reason top quality smiths charge more, and I would be willing to bet that difference in price is obvious in the superior quality of their work.

i have no doubts Nick is the top knotch and he gained my respect by the answer he gave me to that mail i sent him.

i don't think a smith that can take appart a bren could ever get lost in a wingmaster. i wanted to fix the little things at the same time, but to fix them first, then send them one at the time to him sounds like a better idea in the long run...
thanks for the imput guys.
