I have just got my RPAL and have been looking at the Norc 1911 Police model at CanAmmo. I would like to redo the blued finish and parkerize it myself as a project. Since the slide runs on the frame and the parkerizing leaves a fairly rough finish, what is done to the wear surfaces of the slide and frame to keep things moving smoothly and functioning correctly?
