OK, so after some research I discovered a reasonable home parkerizing solution that is apperently very effective. This solution is:
1 Gallon of distilled water
1 shot (approx 1.5 fluid ounce) of Phosphoric Acid
1 shot (approx 1.5 fluid ounce) of manganese dioxide
I have located some phosphoric acid at a local garden center, the problem is that it is two parts water, and only one part Acid (about 33% acid). Is this still usable? Do I just add say, three shots instead of one?
I am still looking for some Manganese dioxide, I may have to order it in from a pottery supply store another CGN'er told me about.
Thanks.
