Looks like my trigger return spring bit the dust. Where can I get a replacement? Brownells doesn't list anything CZ. Nothing on the Wolff site either.

Can anyone explain to me why that would prevent the hammer from falling? Fired one round double action, a second round single action, then the hammer refused to drop and the trigger was locked (not totally sure about the locked part) all the way back.

Gunsnthings.com lists the trigger return spring and they are located in AB. Dlask Arms is the warranty centre and they also might have one.

If the return spring is broken, the trigger should reset if you push it forward manually. I'm not sure what would cause it to get stuck all the way back, though. The trigger overtravel screw would prevent the trigger from travelling far enough back to drop the hammer if screwed in too far, but it would be stuck too far forward, not too far back.

BINGO!!!! It wasn't stuck. Manually moving the trigger forward allowed the reset to happen.

I'll try Gunsnthings.com.

Any words of wisdom for when I attempt to replace the spring? Looks like I have to drift a pin out in order to remove the trigger.

Thanks,

M

Slavex and Ceezer are CZ Gurus. You can also try Clarence @ Bumblebee/Armco for repair.

I just followed a YouTube video. I used a tooth pick as the slave pin.

Something to use as a slave pin is definitely a good idea. I would also get a new trigger pin, preferably the solid version. If your gun has the roll pin that is flared at both ends, it may or may not be reusable.

Looks like a roll pin to me. So driver that sucker out right to left or left to right?

One side doesn't look any larger than the other as far as I can discern.

Use a steel roll pin punch or a brass punch?

Got a spring from Guns & Things. The 85 is back up running.

Thank you to all those that contributed to sorting this out for me.
