I need a safety catch spring for an 1873 Uberti rifle . . . does anyone know where I can order parts for this rifle? Preferably a Canadian source??

Try www.vtigunparts.com , biggest supplier of parts for the Italian manufacturers in the US. If not try Jack First in Rapid City ND they have lots of old gun parts including Italian guns.

Again, thanks for the reply. While searching online last night, I discovered VTI Gun Parts and two other suppliers (Pioneer Gun Works; Taylors and Co. Inc.) . . . all three of these suppliers had replied to my email (sent yesterday) before noon today. All three stock replacement and/or custom parts for Uberti rifles and all will ship direct to Canada. I think I'm going to order a coil spring type lever safety spring instead of the stock Uberti leaf spring.
