Too bad that movie props from a decent made in Canada film will go to USA collectors. What else is new.

So how can Questar import Enfields and Mausers from the USA like they do if beyonet lugs on bolt guns are a problem?

303carbine ; i think EVERYONE who had a grandparent in the wars wishes that they had the uniform and weapons from those situations.

My family got lucky. My Uncle has my Great Grandfathers complete uniform, attestation papers and medals. His service revolver (officer) sadly didn't make it to us. Although I do have a 1915 dated No1 Mk3 with original sling, adjustable rear sight, volley sights and the brass oiler that matches the butt disk. Unfortunately the bolt is non-matching

Hmm I'm importing a couple of really nice No.4's from BDL. He said lots of his sales as of recent have been export, so I doubt the issue is really about them being milsurps, likely some other red tape angle.

Haven't got a hope in Hell of seeing the movie unless when it is released for video rental, and then it will probably never make Manitoulin. The U.S. owned chains won't screen it. Maybe if I drove to Toronto, oh, wait, Toronto is blacklisted.

I guess it is at least ok that the Huns had some kind of Mauser bolt in thier hands. I can recall a CBC doc/drama a few years back showing the Canadian army charging a Normandy beach in 1944 carrying M16's

well much better then the movie I was watching last week "Blue Max" whre the British has No1 and the Germans all had No4 enfield with blade type bayonets.

The only thing the Irish Army changed to play the germans were their helmets! And those were ones they had on hand pre-war.
