well I passed the restricted test (challanged) man it was pretty easy. took me all of about 30min to do and I browsed threw the book at the store and I shot a handgun twice in my life and I passed with flying colours so I figure a semi retarded monkey could pass it lol.

anyway i was looking at getting one of those 9mm toks from Marstar when i get my card in and was wondering if anyway owns one and could give me alittle review on them.

thanks

Congratulations.
It might be easy but it doesn't hurt to be extra knowledgeable about safety and the law. Now enjoy your RPAL and prepare to become penniless. :D

LOL, he is right you will become broke in a hurry if you do the things and bought the things, I have. Go to your local club and try out all the hardware first, see what you like and only buy the guns you like. I have a bad habit of buying guns and they will sit there in the safe forever and never get used. God forbid that I would sell one though, they are like my kids;)

ya I was nervous 2 cause like I said I didn't really know much about handguns at all, but nobody ofers just the restricted course here so I had to challange it.

anyway the written part is mostly just common sense with a small bit of actuall practical knowledge like operation of difrent types of pistol actions. like a "in a double action revolver you must manually #### the hammer before firing" true or false.

the Practicle was simple. First I was asked to Idntify diffrent types of bullets like "show me a full metal jacket" or "show me a semi-wadcutter" then I had to Idetify calibers he asked me to pick up a cartridge and tell him what it is. then he told me to pick up specific one like show me a .357 magnum etc etc

Then he told me to pick up the double action revolver and demonsttrate the 2 handed shooting postion. Then he told me to load it with 2 rounds like I was going to fire it. then he says ok a cease fire has been called make your gun safe and you just unload it leaving the action open barrel pointed down range and step back (behind the fireing line) and pretty much repeated that for each of the diffrent actions of both pisols and revolvers. oh also at the end he says ok your done shooting for the day put away your firearm and you do the acts/prove thing put the trigger lock on it and put it in the case. he then asks you what you should do with the remaining ammo you havent shot off and you just tell him youd put it in another case. and thats it, your done.

oh and they let you play with each of the pistols you'll be doing your test on and you can ask any questions at that time, like where's the safety on this etc etc so you dont have to worry about that either. I had to ask how you loaded and unloaded a single action revolver lol cause i hadnt the slightest clue.

Hope that calms your nerves abit.

Thankyou, Chopperhead!
