Ok, I live near Edmonton and I go into Wholesale sports today and they have no blackpowder.....they have .18 patches and .495 roundball.....

P&D has no blackpowder stuff to speak of.

Can anyone give me an idea where I could purchase 0.10 patches and .490 roundball.........

or 0.15 patches.....

somewhere close to here would be nice. if not, i will call elsewhere and order it in.....thanks

Hi Randy, Ten X bullets, have round ball 500 for approx $48. mailed to you door. John is in Duncan @50-749-3967
2 Paws Trading Post has different size patches and thickness's,250-722-2474
Both are home based business's so they are not always at home.
Cheers nessy.

Try Lock and Load. Blair probably has something appropriate. (He's got lots of GOEX in stock). Lock and Load is on 116 ave and about 158 St.

For patching, I'd visit a fabric shop (and bring a micrometer). Buy a yard or two of appropriate thickness cotton. Run it through the wash and you're in business.

the area code for Ten-X is 250 (749 3967). area code 50 might be a bit challenging

For patches, buy a micrometer and buy your patches by the yard/meter from Fanny's Fabrics especially when cloth is on sale.

cheers mooncoon

John at Ten-X is super nice, and one of the best guys you could ever deal with, and that top hat he wears looks distinctive.
He had lots of .455 balls on his table yesterday, but not .490. I was looking for some .490 r/b too but bought a cheap ($10) Lee .490 mold instead and poured a couple hundred balls when I got back home.

I buy everything I can from Doug and Becky at hillfolk muzzleloading supplies in Senlac , Sask.
They are super to deal with and very fast delivery.

The plain cotton muslin that Wal-Mart sells in their fabric section is typically .010 - cheap by the yard - you can make shooting and cleaning patches. Soak up a bunch in moose milk, or if you're using a paste lube like Wonderlube, melt some in small aluminum pie plate (low heat) and soak up the patches, let cool and off you go. If its a european gun (like Armi sport, non-Lyman Investarms or Pedersoli) you'll want .010 or thinner, and no bigger than .490 ball, and be prepared for them to be tight - keep the gun clean. If its a Lyman, use .495 ball if you've got .010 patch, use .490 ball if its a .015 patch. Any of the gun shops can order you balls from Hornady or Speer. Hornady has a .480 ball (special order in most shops) which works good with either a .010 or an .015 patch in .50 calibre Euro gun. (Lyman's are bored slightly oversize).
