Purchased a Ruger #1 in 257 roberts from CGN member .... now I patiently wait for it to arrive!!!
Canada Post says tomorrow but I don't have a lot of hope in them right now!!

What to do with the time.
Have read every reloading manual, bought dies, brass and bullets from other CGN members...... I guess now I play the waiting game and hope to shoot my new rifle on the weekend.

I know the feeling. I bought a stainless Browning A-bolt in 300wsm from a CGN member last week and I'm patiently waiting for it to arive as well.

Yesterday I purchased scope rings, Timney trigger spring kit , dies, brass and bullets for it.

I already have a scope for it and I already thinking of what to use to replace the factory tupperware stock with.

Worst part is that Canada Post is ultra slow to update the shipping progress.
Tracking info shows that it has been shipped from the senders post office 6 days ago.

Tough to watch a clock go round around.
I'm still waiting for my dies and brass to show up on my lastest lever purchase.
Scope is on and bore sighted.
May have to go and spend for factory rounds.
If I can find them.
Go bake a pie.......................... :)

I knew I wasn't the only one on here! I have been checking the Canada Post tracking number every half hour for a week. I'm waiting on my Winchester Model 88 carbine in .308 to arrive. The deal has been going on since the end of September and I'm going to have only one or two days to get the thing to the range and get it ready for the deer hunt. Supposed to be here Nov. 2 but I'm hoping for tomorrow...I have nothing to base that on though. Damn you, Regular Postage! But when you think about it the waiting is half the fun of gun-buyin'. It makes it so much sweeter when you finally unwrap it!

You gonna like the 257Roberts! That Ruger was a nice buy as well.

.

Have wanted a 257 for a while and didn't even realize it was ever made in Ruger #1A, got real lucky on this one.

How many sleeps 'til the new gun arrives, Virginia?

According to Canada Post it arrives tomorrow.... It was in Ottawa this morning.

Got everything else here waiting for it and day at the range on Sunday

With CP you never know. I've had some show up days earlier than the expected delivery date, some that were in my hands when the tracking number was still showing them to be several provinces away, and some late.

What range are you planning on breaking it in on? I just got my Ruger No1A in .257 Roberts yesterday. If I had cash I would have picked up the one you got (assuming its Ricks off of the EE). Instead I got one from Clay, just put it on my CC.

Beautiful rifles, great wood for a production gun.

I lucked out on that one and yes that is the one.
It was already SPF when I noticed it and luckily for me the deal fell threw.

I'll be at Stittsville on Sunday afternoon .... provided it arrives as planned tomorrow.

It will be worth the wait.I think you will be impressed with that old gun.

It arrived, can't wait for Sunday.
It's a beautiful sunny day here so taking afternoon off and heading to Range.

Cheers all!!
