Patriot Arms 1000 yard target rifles

A certain dealer is complaining it to me in a not a very nice way(not Glock-A-Manic). I have removed the web address and contact information from the thread and Patriot's profile. I have PMed Patriot to clarify our site policy.

Fair is fair and rules are rules.

I like seeing Patriot's stuff. Maybe some day when the keel evens out. :(

The base on the pistol is an XP-100 base and will fit on a 700. You just get 3 holes instead of 4.

The big one is a 50. The action is a one off maid by one of my friends. It's easily the nicest 50 action I've ever put in my hands and took him a year in his spare time to make. Everything was made except for the trigger and screws.

I didn't mean to be such a renegade. Rules are rules and they don't hurt my feelings. It seems as though I can still post photos. I rarely check this site due to the very little bit of time that I have to do what I do. If you guys need anything it would probably be best to look me up on the Hide. Thanks for all the interest and comments. Hope to see some of you guys at the Shot Show.

It's really too bad it's being held in Florida this next year or else I'd be going for sure. 2010, it's suppose to be scheduled back to Vegas so I'll have to wait till then.
Cheers,

it's interesting how some of our customers perception of what's expensive isn't anywhere close to what we think is exspensive, both on the high side and low side. That's what makes this industry interesting I guess;

The value that one puts on accuracy and workmenship.

Troy look at this way you only buy quailty items once but those that take the road most often traveled buy a average gun and throw lots of dollars at the rifle to make it shoot better. At the end of day they could have easliy have purchased a quaility custom rifle for the same money and in some cases less

Very true. I see it all the time. I guess what makes me feel better is when I can sell the guy something he's not going to have to replace with something he should have bought in the first place and of course later blame me for selling him junk. Future upgradeability is also something I can't stress enough to people.

Not everyone can afford to buy a custom built rifle or custom parts right off the bat. I built my f-class rig in pieces and it shoots every bit as good or better than my buddies Barnard actioned rifle.

Granted I realize that most people cannot afford a the Custom rifle as they tend to be on the expensive side. But being able to know when to stop flogging a dead horse is also important.

I agree. Quality upgradable components (as Glock-a-maniac said) is key if your building on a budget.

If I had more money than I knew what to do with I would definitely have a full custom rig such as Patriot and ATR build.

Yes Richard, but you also put your upgrades in all the right places, and it has paid huge dividends... you're probably the #1 or #2 F-class shooter in BC. At the provincials there was a fellow shooting with an AICS, Schmidt Bender Scope, and all the top end tactical acoutrements you can buy - with a dead stock remington 700 in the middle of it all. It was a $500 rifle with 5 grand worth of window dressing that shot MOA plus!

A $350 rifle with a good barrel would cost a quarter and shot ten times better!

Um, very nice guns, but don't you have to be a paid dealer to post advertising?

Are you jealous, Jared makes world class rifles and so is his customer service. I don't see this as advertising, besides Patriot Arms is known worldwide and doesn't need CGN to boost it's sales or reputation. I am in the same boat as most other, I enjoy seeing quality rifles. Step up to the plate then.

'Jared' posted nice photos of his rifles and then in subsequent posts discussed the fact that they sell to Canadians. The posts have been removed. There are rules here about advertising... His rifles are very nice looking for what they are, but they are not my cup of tea because I am not into "tactical" shooting, nor 30 caliber. (I could care less that they look like... As an F-Class shooter: are they comfortable and do they shoot?)

I would point out that dealers like Wolverine, Questar, Alberta Tactical, Freedom Ventures and Arms East also sell some very nice looking stuff, but they have paid a great deal of money for the privilege of being able to post photos and sales info about their products - thousands in fact.

I am not slagging the product, I am slagging the fact that just because the pictures are the rifle equivalent to the blond bimbo with big schmeebs, the advertising rules didn't seem to apply. (BTW, it was not me that complained to Greentips... Apparently one of the paid dealers here feels the same, and frankly, since they pay your way, their opinion is what counts...)
