Pattern 14 Rifle

I have what I believe is a Pattern-14 made by E.R.A.
Unfortunately it has been customized (bubba) and alll the wood is aftermarket and the barrel has been changed.
So I assume it has little value and I probaly paid too much for it.

How in the orld do you remove the bolt??

Does anyone have one and if so do you have pics. Primarily of the bolt area and the magazine area.
Any help would be appreciated.

No collector value but it's still a good rifle.
To remove the bolt, you pull the little lever on the left out against spring pressure, and the bolt pulls right back out.

I had one years ago that was surprisingly accurate. I had the rear sight removed "ears" milled off and and a weaver scope mounted. It had the forend cut back when I got it, so I didn't really scrap an original Milsurp. I traded it off for a .257Robt. when the MNR decided to only allow up to .275 for varminting in S.ON.

"...when the MNR decided to only allow up to .275 for varminting in S.ON..." That goes back to just after W.W. I. And not in all of Southern Ontario. Mostly in Southwestern Ontario, but there are a bunch of townships around TO that have by-laws that say nothing greater than .270 for hunting anything. As daft as the whole idea is. Bureaucrats are such idiots.
