patterns to left

One of my buddys was hunting with me last week. He had just got a Moss 835. He was missing lots. We patterned it & it was way left ( near a foot ). This was the same with the 2 loads we were using. He is going to try more loads this weekend. Any ideas why this is ,I'm stumped thanks AJ

no expert but had a similiar problem and found i was not indexing or shouldering the shotgun proper. if he leans his head a bit more he will be spot on. i was shooting high all the time until I learned to drop my head a little more and sight over my reciever, after a few consious aiming shots it became second nature in no time at all.

He could be left eye dominant, but shooting off his right shoulder. do the eye dominance test.

I don't think it's him as he is a very good shot & has shot lots of trap.

so, just to clarify, you BOTH tried it, and it went left for both?

(I personally would have no idea what the problem is, but someone who could help would be better able to with that info)

From what I've read there isn't enough cast-off in the stock, really common with modern shotguns. Google "shotgun fitting" and you should have an idea of what I'm on about.
