True. If its rare and you want it be prepared to pay for it. You still need to do research to know if its really worth paying the asking price and if there are options for a better deal.
 
Anyone know what the colt 1911 government went for. It was in the WWI Canadian contract serial range in 1914? I really wanted to bid on that but am in way over my head as it is.
