I pre ordered an FX-9 Carbine and I’m wonder what ammo works best in the rifle? For target practice I would probably just use blazer or something cheap but I wanted to do any varmint or coyote hunting what ammo would work best for that? What weight?Hollow points? +P?

I have had a CX4 Storm, JR Carbine and CZ Scorpion EVO. I have had no ammo issues with any of them from brass cased factory to my light-ish hand loads. I have used 115gr, 124gr and 147gr. Don't over think it, if it will run in a pistol it will likely run in your carbine. Keep in mind that aluminum cased ammo, such as Blazer, is not recommended for use in blow-back carbines by some manufacturers.

Any hollowpoint ammo would be suitable for coyotes, keep in mind it will probably be a $1 per round or more for factory ammo. Unless you try some of that IMI 9mm HP from Canada Ammo.

Have fun.

I borrowed the 16" rifle from wolverine supplies in the winter and did some ammo and accuracy testing. All these groups were shot at 50 meters with a strike eagle at 6x. It was cold and I was uncomfortable so the groups could definitely be better.

Have been shooting my PCC out to over 100 meters with just a Red Dot and great success, freehand hitting 4" plates. Any ammo works, for shooting fur bearing game use a full jacketed round if you want to harvest the fur.......and if not Blazer works just fine! I can also highly recommend WASP Ammo, shoots great!

Winchester white box 124gr was the most accurate factory ammo in both of my JR 9mm carbines. Consistent 2.5-3" 5-shot groups at 100m using an RDS or 2-7 scope.

Barnaul was by far the worst ammo accuracy wise. Very hard primers too. (Bent one of my firing pins) Best group was about 5" @ 100m. Rubbish.

Buy a bunch of different brands/weights/loadings and go to town!
