PCP air rifles .. what scope would you recommend?

The Sightron scopes designed for Field Target competition are very good scopes. They have SF with an oversized ring for ranging, have 10-50 magnification, and are over $2000. Perhaps overkill for pesting and target shooting. Any scope that would meet your needs that is suitable for a .22LR and has either adjustable objective or side focus will do the trick on a PCP as recoil is not an issue.

Indeed. Second choice would be Hawke. Good solid fundamentals, glass is not up to banner levels, but solid nonetheless.

I finally put my air rifle scope combo together! Took some time to save up , however so far I am very pleased with the results on this FX Streamline and A z t e c Emerald scope combo!

Thanks to everyone for your input

Very nice. I'm saving up for a new scope. I sold alot of my airguns and purchased a Kral Puncher Mega. Now I need a proper scope for it. The 3-9 X just isn't cutting it.

I really like this A Z T E C Emerald scope (3 to 18 X 50) The markings are fine but quite visible (So far in all light conditions I have encountered) It does not have internal lighting.

The centre is a dot between crosshairs .. very easy to centre target and hold.

Side focus (parallax) wheel adjustable from under 10 yards to 200+ (comes with a large wheel if you need it)

The target shown are my 1st 2 groups of 5, shot with JSB 15.89 top and 18.13 lower .... 50 yards with a good cross breeze

Have since fine tuned a little and also been out removing Starlings from a local farm .. (I'm averaging 50% on the pest shooting)

thanks again for all input here

Can you use a portable compressor to refill these rifles?

With the correct fittings and PSI ratings sure. I'm learning about home compressors right now. You want a quality oil/water separator and water filter. So you would want that between the compressor output and your gun for direct fills. A 4500psi carbon fiber bottle would be a better choice. Fill that with the compressor and use the bottle for the air guns. Can't imaging lugging a compressor to the range but some are lucky enough to live out of town and have neighbors who don't mind a little noise.

To the OP - nice rifle. I'm looking at doing the exact same thing, though I can't decide between the walnut or synthetic, and .25 or .22 :)

Well the gas power compressors are Well 2000$. Compressor I got requires a 120 PSI shop compressor to make high pressure air. Most people just get a scba, or CF tank with a fill whip. Or use a hand pump that rated for 4500 PSI.

I had to upgrade my compressor to a bigger one.

On the topic of a small compressor... I have this tidbit to add.

This is my 1st PCP air rifle (may not be my last, hopefully) These things are fun to shoot!

Not having ever used a hand pump to fill one, I ordered one and can say I'm pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to use..... The pump was in stock, but at the same time I ordered a portable compressor $599.00 which is apparently highly rated and can be used on 110 AC power or 12 volt in the field. From the literature it will take about 5 min to fill my FX (The pump is about the same .. 40 pumps to bring the pressure from 170 bar to 230 bar.

The unit I will be getting in June is an Air Venturi Nomad (4500 PSI pump) https://www.airgunsource.ca/en/air-venturi-nomad-4500-psi-portable-compressor.html

I'll give it a full review when it arrives.

I guess what you use to refill a PCP air rifle depends on ones physical ability and how much you shoot in a session (This FX will get over 100 shots on low power and over 40 on high power before a refill is needed)

Its a great time to get into airguns as there is a huge assortment out there to choose from

Have a great week

Think that compressor would fill scuba tanks? Seems like it is meant to just fill your gun.

On my Streamline I've got the Hawke Sidewinder 6-24x56mm scope with the floating 1/2 mil - dot reticle.
I really like it but I just don't understand why the mil and rads are all mixed up. This is why I think you've made an excellent choice with the a zte c .
