Just picked up my new Discovery by Crossman. 22 cal bolt action runs @ 2000 psi, 900 fps, Scoped of course. 6x32 Bugbuster luminated.
Pumped it up only from 1200 to 2000 when I got home:eek:, not as young as I used to be . Think I'll invest in a 72cu/in rechargable tank and save my strength for the shot :agree:.
If you are looking to buy a nice air rifle try airgunsource.com They are located in Peterborough On, N/E of Toronto. Tell them that Chuck sent you. Need to shoot now, Dispatch some varmits in the yard, Catch you later.

Its a great gun, got mine when the pump came with. Its 22 cal, and hits hard, and very accurate, I will stay with the pump as its easy to use, and a fill up for a morning hunt is fine, the sweet spot 1700 - 1400 psi it rocks.
As the on board tank gets used up, it gets loud, 1200-1000 psi.
but top up from 1000 is quick and easy.
I put a tasco 6x20 ao scope on it, and its still very light, and handy. Walnut stock also pretty cool. Could stipple the hold areas with a dremel to give it some flare.have not done that yet.
I would hold off on the tank, till you figure you may get into more costly pcp guns, but heck thats just me, I like springers , and yes their a chore to lug around, sorta;)
First time out, I put a pop can at 50 meters, and give it a poke off hand, ctr shot, whistled thru the can, their awesome small game guns, no worries on temps messen with pressure, and just google the video of buddy shooting eggs at 65 meters, saw another by owner, where game was taken at 60 meters.

Shots B4 fill

I would say that you would get 30 to 35 good quality shots, say between 900 fps high end to 700fps at say 1000 psi. Takes about 50 to 60 pumps to get it back to 2000 psi which is maximum pressure.
The stock fits me fine and I am 5' 10" tall with a vey long arm. I am getting the scope mount replaced tonight to move it back to get right eye relief fo my scope.
I'll let you know how she feels after I shoot her a bit :D

Congrats on the PCP and if it's your first welcome to the darkside. I have myself a Airforce Condor .22cal and MAYBE looking into getting the Crosman Marauder when it comes out. Airgunsource says they should have them in stock by the end of June.

I was using my hand pump for a while but ended up getting a used 100cf tank @3300psi. I don't regret it at all and may actually pick up a used 80cf tank as a back up when I bring the tank in for a slow fill for max pressure. I bought my tank from Scuba2000. but will get the tank filled at a dive shop in Ajax.

PM Sent.

Cheers.

Scope mount change

Well I got her changed tonight and it took all of 3 shots to site her in @ 30 yds. I took the 4th shot and hit the bull and the eye relief is great. These guys @ airgunsource.com know their stuff. Wish they would get a spot on our home page because they have a Huge Selection and they know thier stuff, guess I said that already
I'll let you know how she works on the job, so to speak :D

Cheers
