PDF of Captain Shore's book?

I just got a paperback copy (new re-print), and it was certainly worth the read.

While some people might have lusted for a first-hand shot-by-shot account against the Germans (or even ample personal narratives about combat experience), the book was actually/basically walking around 1945-1946 Europe with a British gunnut.

Be it discussions about cut-shells in shotguns while in the Home Guard.....to saying things like 'if you're going to ban good people from owning guns in the UK, are knives next?'....to spirited comment about safety-levers on handguns....to the good 'ol Enfiled vs. Mauser debate.

It's not Herb McBride, but it is a solid read.

I bought a recent hardcover edition of "With British Snipers to the Reich" and was somewhat disappointed by it. A truly bizarre book with rambling discussions about, among other things, the US M1 Carbine and the authors beloved P14. Lots of filler and a bit of good stuff about British sniper training/ equipment.
