PDW builds - Lets see them, and share results

This is my PDW, KPOS Glock 17 9mm or Glock 35 in .40 S&W Burris Fast fire II, 5/33 round magazine. It folds up nicely. Since its only a PDW, I dont need to extend past 100 yards and it easily reaches out that far. Comfortable, light, and easy to manouver with, I love it.

That thing is cool and def compact but I like my Roni better. Feels just like an SMG.

Thanks Gents, I must say IT TOOK EVERY OUNCE OF WILL POWER I HAD....not to build as parts came in....at was over about 4 months that I gathered and just had to wait for the Custom lower from Motiuk Man. about 10 days ago. I was fun and yeah you look at the parts and you think huh....not much there!! I think I should be okay for AR's now(this is the 4th) buuuuuuuut I really liked the building process....we will see!

Ya amazing to see like that. Wish I had waited to do my build once all my parts arrived so I could have got a pic like that.

I like building except for putting the buffer tube spring retention plate on for the take down pin retainer... That's a pITA !!!

+1 I shot that spring across the room trying to move the plate to unbind the spring, but was lucky to find it. :)

I had ordered an ambi sling plate and now I'm thinking I may not bother installing it when it arrives. This is how unused parts make it on the EE I guess.

Me it's the Buffer retainer and spring that I forgot ONCE (like in NEVER AGAIN) when unscrewing a receiver extension. That thing could have made it to the moon had I not been inside.

After reading about half this thread, I'd assume a 10.5" barrel or less constitutes a PDW?

Well if you go with the "Personal Defence Weapon" denomination a 20" M16A4 counts as long as you use it to defend yourself :p

The way I look at it is: if the gun would fit under the seat of a helicopter, and has some kind of stock on it, you can happily call it a PDW.

My first build - Scratch built the lower... bought the upper used (was unsure about barrel install)
- VLTOR MUR Upper, 7.5'' AA piston kit with JP Large Brake
- VLTOR Lower - KAC Enhanced trigger guard, ACE SOCOM Stock, Spikes T2 buffer, BAD ASS Safety, Geissele SD-E Trigger, Magpul MOE-K grip
- Magpul RVG, ARMS 71L-F (ARMS 71L-R and Trijicon sight pictured replaced not with C-MORE Tactical)

Have you shot that yet?
I'm curious to see how violent (or not) the blast is with the JP brake so close.

I was thinking of using the tank brake when I put mine together, just for fun.

lol, next time I'm near a helicopter, I'll see if my AR fits under the seat!
